Between Monaco and Saint-Tropez, in the heart of the Côte d’Azur, Cannes has stunning beaches of fine sand and offers a wide range of activities (sport, shopping, walks, concerts etc.)

The city is close to the highway and easily accessible by train or bus. Nice airport is less than 19 miles away.

How much spending money do I need ?

Souvenirs, transport, food, shopping and leisure activities all cost money of course! Budget €2.20 for a soda and €25-30 for a set meal but prices vary.

€75 a day is a good ball-park figure.


Cannes, a mobile city

On the Palm Bus network passengers can buy tickets for single trips or a weekly or monthly pass. It is easy to travel by train with the SNCF but also by bus on regional public transport.


And the weather ?

Temperatures are ideal: 8°C to 12°C (46-54F) in winter and 25°C to 35°C (75-90F) in summer. As such, lightweight clothing is essential from mid-May to the end of September.

For the rest of the year alternate between warm and lightweight clothing and be prepared for rain.
