Kids and teens are supervised from their arrival at Nice Côte d’Azur airport, Antibes station or the campus reception. From that moment on, the team of leaders will remain on-hand and will oversee permission to be off campus.
Our junior students can benefit from parental permission to leave the school without supervision. Below are the different options offered by the school according to the student's age. Please note that age is determined by the full date of birth (day, month, year) and not just the year of birth.
Supervision
A team of leaders is on-hand 24 hours a day.
Our leaders are special points of contact for our students and help everyone to integrate well in that little society that is a campus or school.
Our leaders with their zest for life, consistent presence and the sense of security they give teens, are a key factor in the success of the camp.
On our campuses, we have strict organizational systems in place in accordance with specific standards: a center director (coordinates all staff), a director of learning (manages the teaching team), a director of activities (manages the team of leaders), a deputy director of activities, security staff on the different floors of the residence when boarders are present and at night.
Security
Strict monitoring of comings and goings!
Leaders record details of any students entering or leaving the premises and ensure that parental permission is complied with and that everyone gets home, leaving nothing to chance.
At night, both the director and leaders sleep on-site and night security are on shift from 7:30 p.m.
In the daytime a free shuttle bus service connects the campuses to the town center or beaches. The activities of our kiosk comply with European safety standards.
No permission to leave the campus.
Free to go into town or to the beach after activities until dinner at 7:30 p.m.
Permission can be granted for a 10 pm curfew from Monday to Thursday and a 1 am curfew on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Antibes, 11 miles from the Nice Côte d’Azur airport is an upmarket seaside resort where students can get around the town center and sandy beaches on foot.
It is a medium-sized easy-going town that is typical of the Côte d’Azur, where kids and teens will find their bearings easily.
Taking a French and sailing course enables you to discover the world of sailing or improve your technique in an international environment and share an unforgettable experience with new friends.
The boats used are the Hobie-cat 16 and the Hobie-cat 15. These are “training boats” par excellence.
At the end of the week, you will be awarded a certificate of proficiency (French Sailing Federation).
Everything is provided by the school, except the swimming costume.
The course is open to all abilities.
The course is taught by the state-certified instructors of the FFV (French Sailing Federation) according to its safety requirements.
Depending on their language level, assessed by means of an entrance test on the Monday they arrive, students have 3 hours of French lessons every day . Classes use an active teaching method to foster young students’ enthusiasm for learning.
Part one: 2 hours of traditional classes
These standard French courses for teenagers help students to work on four skills (reading, speaking, writing and listening):
Grammar, pronunciation and French culture are also covered alongside these skills, in accordance with the recommendations of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Part two: 1 hour of oral activities
This hour-long part of the class, which is more active , light-hearted and fun , is aimed at helping students to fall in love with French . Each teacher plans oral activities that complement the first part of the class to encourage interaction and help the young students gain in confidence.
