The “Essential” language camp in Antibes has been in existence since 1985 and is the most popular in France.

This year, to meet new demand on the part of participants, we have partnered up with a dance school in Antibes to offer a program of “Special dance and fitness classes”. The program is recommended for those who have been taking dance or fitness classes for at least a year.

The French and fitness program

After French classes: dance, fitness and yoga from Monday to Friday, pool games, weekend excursions, evenings on campus...and, if the parents wish, permission to go off-campus in the evenings.

Our leaders, whilst accustomed to a close relationship with teens, are still strict on monitoring curfews and are on-hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. See also Antibes "Sailing" and Antibes “Essential". These programs are also on offer for day students.

Course

The morning program of learning is suitable for infants and is taught in groups of no more than 15 students.
 

Learning core grammar and developing the spoken language so that kids gain confidence in their ability to express themselves in French.
Most learning is through educational activities and workshops.

Accommodation

Surrounded by greenery, the campus offers classrooms, a self-service restaurant, a swimming pool and sports fields. Spacious rooms with shower and sink accommodate a maximum of 3 students per room, with shared toilets on the floor.


A shuttle service is available to take students to the beaches or the center of Antibes.

Activities

This “French with dance and fitness classes” summer camp includes two hours of dance from Monday to Thursday with your partners from this pop-up dance company.

On the program every week: Participants will work on a choreography and perform it at a cabaret show on campus on Thursday with a yoga session on Friday evening to relax after a week's work.

Moreover, “dancers” will be included in the general programs on-campus. Leaders are on-hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and organize pool games, host parties and take them on trips to the beach.

At the weekend, a full-day excursion is planned to a site of interest in the Côte d’Azur.

Security

Supervision 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Kids and teens are supervised from their arrival at Nice Côte d’Azur airport, Antibes station or the campus reception.
From that moment on, the team of leaders will remain on-hand and will oversee permission to be off campus.

  • Permission for 12 year-olds: No permission to be off campus.
  • ​​Permission for 13-15 year-olds: Free to go into town or to the beach after activities until dinner at 7:30 p.m.
  • Permission for 16-17 year-olds: Permission can be granted for a 10 p.m. curfew from Monday to Thursday and a 1 a.m. curfew on Friday and Saturday evenings.

FAQ

Dancing is a means of conveying emotion by moving our bodies. With this program you will share your emotions and your passion for dance in an international setting with young people of the same age.

We offer a modern jazz dance class. From Monday to Thursday participants will work on a choreography that will be performed on Thursday night at the cabaret show on campus. The Friday will be spent doing yoga.

We ask students taking part in the dance class to bring indoor dancing shoes.

You need to have practiced dance for at least one year prior to taking part in the program.

The dance class will be taught by a qualified dance teacher.
