A provençal farmhouse converted into a French language school.

22 classrooms, a restaurant, a Provençal garden and a panoramic view of the Mediterranean.
We wanted to build the finest and best school in France to learn French in France.
It is a pleasure for students to get to know each other in the covered courtyard or gardens and to share lunch on the patio in the sun.

« L’école du Château »
We purchased this Provençal farmhouse, surrounded by olive trees and fruit trees, in 1991.
We renovated the Provençal house and built an extension with an enchanting sea view.
Indeed, most students take in the view whilst eating their lunch after morning classes.
Many of them also take advantage of the huge patio to enjoy the sunshine, study for their classes or simply have a coffee together.

Much more than an educational space, this school is an incredible living space! For the small number of bad weather days, the classrooms open out onto a covered courtyard...and an indoor restaurant.
The school is just three-quarters of a mile from our Club Residence, “le Castel Arabel” and most students arrive on foot. A minibus is available for a fee.

«  L’école du Port »
L’école du Port accommodates students when the l’école du château is at maximum capacity, most often at Easter, in June or September.
This small school is made up of 8 classrooms in an old fisherman's cottage near the marina.
On the ground floor opening onto a pedestrian street is the town's best pub, a popular meeting place for students during breaks after French classes.

Your first day at school !
On the first morning our reception team and teaching department heads welcome you with a coffee, croissants and orange juice. You will be given the “Grammar Guide” as well as your welcome pack, containing your student card which will entitle you to various discounts.
Then the course director will ask you to take a placement test to evaluate your proficiency in written and spoken French. The test will take around 75 minutes.
After the test, the head of reception will give a presentation on school procedures and a tour of the premises. At the beginning of the afternoon, the school organizes a guided tour of Antibes so you can get to know the town and find your way around. A little later you will be told which school you will attend from Tuesday. This is usually “l'école le Château”
There are no classes on public holidays.
