Intensive french course - 25

25 lessons of 45 minutes a week

General French forms the basis for morning lessons, where students work on oral and writing skills. Additional lessons (five in total) are offered on two afternoons. These take place in small groups of six students and focus on oral work (comprehension and expression). This is the perfect course for students who want to work intensively on their French and also enjoy some free time.

Required level : Beginner to advanced

Start dates : Every Monday except 23 December and 30 December 2019.

Special start dates apply for complete beginners wishing to embark on an intensive programme.

Morning, From 9.00 am to 12.20 pm*

Monday to Friday - 12 students max.

Morning lessons, which focus on teaching general French, take place in a friendly atmosphere. During these lessons, students work on grammar, written and oral expression and reading and listening comprehension, through scenarios and role-playing activities.

A variety of media are used, including cartoons, articles, videos, course books and specialist resources designed by our teaching team

Afternoons, From 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm

Two afternoons per week (Tuesday/Thursday or Wednesday/Friday) - 6 students max.

Oral expression and listening comprehension form the basis of afternoon lessons, which help students to get to know French culture, lifestyle and civilisation.

Scenarios, interactive learning activities, discussions based on authentic documents (videos, audio recordings, press articles, etc.) and practice outside the classroom (surveys, reporting, etc.).

Useful information !
  • There are no lessons on the first Monday of your stay. You will take a test of written and oral French in the morning to assess your language level and assign you to a class. At the beginning of the afternoon there will be a briefing and a guided tour of the town.
  • Course location: In general lessons are held at the “Le Château” school. When this school has reached maximum capacity, students take their lessons at the “Le Port” school.
