Travel documents and visas

Before thinking about your luggage, you should get the necessary information about the entrance visa to France. This procedure could take some time, depending on your nationality and should therefore be carried out long before your departure date.

EUROPEAN UNION

Nationals of the European Union (EU) do not require a visa for entering France. Only a valid identity card is needed. National subjects of countries outside the EU must possess a valid passport.

SCHENGEN SPACE

The Schengen space is the basic principle for free movement of persons: Once a person (national of the EU or a third country) has entered any Schengen country, he or she can travel freely between all other Schengen countries. Passport inspections do not take place any longer.
However, travelers must have a valid travel document, e.g. passport or personal identification card. Trips within the Schengen space are considered internal voyages.

If you have a visa to any EU member state you can enter France without any problems.

At the moment there are 15 countries which make up the Schengen space: Portugal, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spa in, Finland, France, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxemburg, Norway, the Netherlands and Sweden.

OTHERS COUNTRIES
