- "Le Port" school : Has been welcoming students since 2002 whenever "Le Château" school is at maximum capacity.
Assignment to a school :
Students will be notified at their arrival of which school they will be attending.
"LE CHATEAU" SCHOOL
A school, a restaurant and 10 studios
in an amazing location.
"Le Château" is a provencal house surrounded by flowered gardens and set in a calm environment, only a few minutes walk from the beaches and the center of Antibes.

"LE PORT" SCHOOL : In the heart of the pedestrian zone and only 30m from the harbor
Since 2002, our second school has been welcoming students whenever the "Le Château" school reaches its maximum capacity.
The school is well located, in the heart of the pedestrian zone, away from the noisy areas at only 30m from the harbor.
THE PREMISES:
- Bright and pleasant classrooms
- On the 1st floor of a beautiful house of the old city
- 7 classrooms
- A small cyber space
- Soft drinks and snacks dispensers
Note:
Students welcomed in the "Le Port" school can have their lunches in the many nearby restaurants (8 to 15€), or get take away meals from cafes (4 to 6€).

STUDENT LIFE
THE FIRST DAY
There is no class on the first day, this day is dedicated to the presentation of our school and our team, a tour of Antibes and a placement test.
- Morning of the first day: Welcome of new students. Introduction of our school and team, information about the stay, and tour of Antibes.
Meeting time : 8:30am at the "Le Château" school.
- In the afternoon: Test of written and oral French to evaluate each student’s level. This allows us to place students into groups by level of ability.
Meeting time : 2pm at the "Le Château" school .
- The levels we offer are set according to Common European framework for languages, except for complete beginners.
THE STUDENT CARD
- CIA student cards offer many advantages and discounts (museums, cinemas, theaters, restaurants, sport activities, taxis…).

THE STUDENT GUIDE
- A small book full of useful information. It will be given to the students upon their arrival and it provides plenty of practical information about the school’s organization and life as a student.

THE CERTIFICATE

At the end of their stay, students receive a "French language certificate" which certifies their education and skills. This certificate includes :
- The level reached at the end of his stay.
- A percentage evaluation of the students’ assiduity.
- Teachers' remarks and notes.

Teaching resources and documents
- Centre International d'Antibes' grammatical guide developed by our teaching team is given to each student.
- Our teaching resources are mostly composed of documents of French daily and professional life : press reviews, audio and video documents, advertisements, pictures, paintings from different periods, comics, movies and book extracts, video clips and actual French songs...
- Teaching activities sometimes involve on the study of French and French-speaking websites.
Teaching follow-up
- Small groups allow teachers to develop an appropriate curriculum and be responsive to each individual's needs no matter how long the program is.
- Every four weeks, each student is offered an overall evaluation, consisting of constructive advice to help them progress yet further.
- For students preparing for a DELF exam, a mock examination is held approximately every 3 weeks, simulating real examination conditions. These ensure regular updates on the students' progress.
- From our perspective, we want to monitor the development of our program by asking students to fill out a questionnaire to evaluate each aspect of their stay.
