VISAS INFORMATION

  • Depending on the student's nationality and the duration of his/her stay, a visa might be required by the French authorities.

  • Two criteria will determine the need for a visa:
  • The nationality

  • Duration of the stay : less or more than 90 days
  • Select your country and check if you need a visa:

ACCEPTATION LETTER

  • In certain cases, a document from our school is required (such as a letter of enrolment).

  • No document of this type will be provided until the payment (or full booking fees) is received.

  • IMPORTANT: In case of non-payment, the application will not be processed.

INSURANCE INFORMATION

  • Before departure, the student must verify that he/she possesses insurance covering his/her stay in France.

  • All students younger than 18 must have insurance (covering health, accidental injury, and repatriation of remains) before arriving and provide a copy of this information to the CIA language school at the time of enrolment.

  • European Health Insurance Card :

    - From 2006, nationals from countries members of the European Union can get a free European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). EHIC allows citizens of the EEA countries and Switzerland to receive medical treatment in another member state for free or at a reduced cost, if that treatment becomes necessary during their visit (for example, due to illness or an accident), or if they have a pre-existing chronic condition which requires care such as kidney dialysis.

    - It only covers healthcare which is normally covered by a statutory health care system in the visited country, so it does not render travel insurance obsolete.

    - The EHIC replaces the E111 document that was needed to get a medical cover in another European country.

    - The EHIC is normally valid for three to five years and covers any medical treatment that becomes necessary during your trip, because of either illness or an accident. The card gives access to state-provided medical treatment only.
