Third largest city of the French Riviera, famous worldwide and conveniently located after Monaco & Nice and before Saint Tropez, Cannes is the trendy place to be, especially for students : aside from the luxury world of the Croisette, Cannes has a wealth of free
beaches and cheaper places to eat and have fun.
Cannes is clean and safe. It is a reasonably sized city where it is easy to settle in and go around.

- Standard course
20 lessons x 45min/week from Monday to Friday 9am-12.15pm*.
15 students maximum per class.
- Intensive course
26 lessons x 45min/week from Monday to Friday 9am-12.15pm* and on Tuesday and Thursday 1:30pm-3:45pm.
15 students maximum per class in the morning, 6 in the afternoon.
- Individual course

Notes:
- *15 min. break in the morning
- No classes on the first day: Introduction meeting and visit of the city in the morning. Written and oral tests at
1:30pm.
- No classes on public holidays the lessons are neither replaced nor refunded except for the individual classes.

HOW TO GO TO SCHOOL
- We will do our best to accommodate the student within walking distance of the school.
- This is not always possible and some students may have to take the bus to reach the school (maximum trip of 30 min.)

We take the greatest care in selecting our host families
and we visit them on a regular basis.
SETTING:
SHUTTLE SERVICE
The school in Cannes is located near the city center and the beaches, therefore we do not provide any shuttle service in the afternoon.
One night per week (after the "barbecue" evening), a shuttle bus will be organized by our tour leaders to drop the students off near their family's home.
- Our host families are all located within or very close to Cannes city limits.

MEALS:
- Breakfasts and dinners are taken at the host families’ house or as a packed lunch provided by the hosts during weekend's excursions days.
- Lunches are taken at the school cafeteria .
Notes :
- *If the students have to share a room, we will do our best to place them with another student of similar age, but
who has not the same mother language.
- Students can ask their host family to use their washing machine at a cost of 2€ per load to be paid directly
to the family.
- Students will receive information about their host families 2 weeks prior to arrival.

ACTIVITIES AND SUPERVISION IN CANNES
Everyday after the lessons and meals, we offer a varied program of excursions and/or activities. They all are organized and supervised by our tour leaders.
No excursion the weekends of your arrival/departure.
EACH WEEK:

Excursions:
- A day trip to "Iles de Lérins", Nice or to a nautical theme park.
- One half-day excursion to "Marineland" dolphin park, Antibes or to Monaco.

Afternoon's activities:
- One afternoon of sailing.
- Our tour leaders organize various activities such as sport tournaments, games, themed activities, entertainment...

Evening's activities:
- One barbecue evening or one thematic evening (on the premises).
- On Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings: "authorization to go out" for students of minimum 16 years old.
- All other nights students will spend their time with their host family.
KIOSK ACTIVITIES (to be booked and paid on the spot):
- In addition to our activity program, there is a choice of extra activities such as water-skiing, horse-riding
…
- These activities are provided by carefully selected national instructors or properly qualified external providers to ensure the greatest standards of safety.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Arrivals are on Sundays and departures are on Saturdays, however, it is possible to reserve one extra day upon arrival and/or before departure (supplement: 73€).

Arrival/departure transfers (included): Students will be met by their host family in Nice/Côte d’Azur international airport or in Cannes train station.
Transfers from Mondays to Fridays are charged at 50€/trip/person

HOW TO REACH CANNES
At 28 km from Nice/Cote d’Azur international airport, Cannes is very easy to reach from anywhere in the world :
- Only 7 hours from New-York (direct flights).
- Less than 2 hours from the major European capitals (direct flights).
- Only 1:20 hours from Paris by plane (direct flights) and at 4:30 hours by high speed train (TGV).
MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION WITHIN CANNES
BY FOOT
The families, the beach, downtown and all activities are all within reasonable walking distances of one another (a short bus ride may be necessary).
SCOOTERS
Scooters and small motorbikes are very practical. Rentals start at 30€ per day.
BY BUS
Good and convenient network. The service operates until 8pm.
A bus pass costs around 10€/week a bus journey costs only 1€.
TAXIS
One way trip costs from 15€ depending on the trip.
TRAIN AND BUS
Link all the cities along the coast at a frequency of about 1 every 20 minutes every day. Stations are never far away from the beaches.

WHAT TO WEAR
Summer season: Students are advised to pack comfortable clothes including sport and swimming outfits.
Sun protection is necessary (hat and sunscreen).
A light jacket may be necessary for the evenings.
