Recommended vaccinations

See your doctor 4 to 6 weeks before you set off so that your vaccinations have time to take effect.

Hepatitis A or immune globulin (IG). Although the Northern, Southern and Western Europe and Mediterranean countries (Italy and Greece) are not at risk.

Hepatitis B. If you come into contact with blood, have sexual relations with the locals, stay in Southern Europe for over 6 months or are exposed because of medical treatment.

The Hepatitis B vaccine is now recommended to all children aged between 11 and 12.
