DELF preparation course
Long Programs
(4 -6 - 8 - 12 - 16 weeks)

About the Delf exam

  • The DELF is organized by the French Ministry of Education and is henceforth in accordance with the common European reference from the ‘Cadre européen commun de référence pour les langues du conseil de l’Europe’.
  • Some changes took place from the 1st September 2005 :
The old DELF 1st degree, made up of four cumulative units
(A1, A2, A3 and A4), is to be replaced by three independent levels (DELF A1, DELF A2, DELF B1).
These three independent levels correspond to the three European levels A1, A2, and B1.
The old units A5 and A6, which added to the DELF 1st degree to make the DELF 2nd Degree, will be replaced by the DELF B2. This corresponds to the new European level B2.

whats new on the delf

  • In this new system, the chain formed by the six consecutive units is replaced by the four independent DELF qualifications.
In this way, the candidate can take the exam which best suits their level.
A candidate can take more than one exam at the same sitting
. Each qualification is made up of exercises to evaluate competence in 4 areas: understanding and expression in both oral and written situations.

Please note that according to the arrival dates for the same duration of DELF preparation, the
admission level can differ as well as the diploma that can be sat. You will find this information in the table below.
