The internship rules


  • Contract:
    The contract has to be signed by you and signed and stamped by your school or your language school which you attend(ed) in your home country (in pages 1 + 4, at the place signature and the stamp of the institution of superior education and his representative).
    The contract must be sent to us at least 4 weeks before your arrival by email at wep@cia-france.com.
    NOTE: The first 15 days of internship will be considered as a trial period during which we reserve the right to cancel it if we are not satisfied with the candidate’s work.
  • Work Timetable: is defined for each position in accordance to a schedule of hours between Monday to Sunday including the French bank holidays.
    Please some positions can require to work during week-end, in that case a day off will be given during the week.
  • Absence: You must provide us with the medical certificate proving your absence within 24 hours. (In case of extension of your absence you have to provide the certificate proving this extension in the same terms.)
  • Vacations: The vacations are not assumed during your stay. Exceptionally and in very urgent cases you might ask your manager a day off explaining him the reason of your demand. He can accept or refuse your request.
  • Break of the contract: In case of no respect of the working and internal rules and/or the timetable, you will receive an oral or written warning, or your contract in the company can be ended up immediately.
    After 3 warnings your contract will be ended up.
  • Recommendation letter: At the end of your stay we will provide you with a training certificate, explaining the work you have done in our company and giving you references you can use.

 

How to apply
In our application form you provide us with your personal details, your preferences and abilities. We will try to place you according to your skills and on the dates chosen. However as our number of positions is limited you are asked to be flexible concerning the position and dates offered.

Please be informed that for some position a telephonic interview will be necessary before the placement.


  • A completed application form (download)
  • A copy of your curriculum vitae with a photo for personal identity
  • A cover letter of your intent
  • A copy of your European medical health insurance card. This will be required for the duration of your stay for medical reasons. It has to be requested from the social security office. We also strongly advise that you obtain additional personal insurance such as travellers’ health coverage in case of medical problems.
  • A police record: You should send us these documents by email at wep@cia-france.com.

 

Process before arrival for professional internships

  • After the reception of all your documents we will study them carefully. If we think that your application is suitable for one of the internship, we will contact you for a telephonic interview.
  • At least one week after the interview you will receive an answer with your possible internship
    offer.
  • You should read your offer attentively mainly the description of your job and dates proposed. If you accept this position we will send you the confirmation and the contract.

Process before arrival for work exchange programs

  • After the reception of all your documents we will study them carefully and if we have position suitable for you we will send you an offer of work exchange program (please note that we can’t offer the position for every applicants as number of our positions is limited).
  • You should read your offer attentively mainly the description of your job and dates offered.
  • If you accept this position we will send you the confirmation of your stay, all the details about your accommodation, information useful for your arrival and instruction for the payment of your 2 weeks course, if needed.
  • Contract: at the same time (before your arrival) we will send you a contract of work exchange program.
    2 examples of this contract must be:
    - signed by you,
    - signed and stamped by your school or your language school which you attend(ed) in your home country (in pages 1 + 4, at the place signature and the stamp of the of the institution of education superior and his representative).
    This contract must be signed and send us at least 4 weeks before your arrival by email at wep@cia-france.com.
  • Please note if we don't have the contract signed + stamped by your school or by your agency at least the week before your arrival your placement in work exchange program will be cancelled.
